Staff picks: Professional development at HGSE and Dean's Challenge finalists

Becca Conner, an Ed.M. candidate in human development and psychology, joined the Making Caring Common team last September as an Empathy Strategies in Schools Intern. This month, Becca recommends the professional development program "Post-Secondary Success: In Schools, Communities, and Families," led by Professor Mandy Savitz-Romer. The four-day program this summer will help educators bridge the gap between research on postsecondary success and their own practice.

Becca would also like to congratulate the Dean's Challenge finalists, who have been working with the Making Caring Common team to refine strategies for promoting empathy and reducing bullying in secondary schools. We're looking forward to sharing their work with schools during the 2018-2019 academic year.
