Deadline approaching! Join the Caring Schools #CommonGood campaign by February 1
There's still time join Making Caring Common as an early leader in our Caring Schools #CommonGood campaign. Middle and high schools that commit to take action as part of the campaign by February 1 will:
Be included in press materials for a major national school recruitment initiative in March 2018
Gain access to a network of schools who are working toward campaign goals in their own communities
Receive resources to support their work
We hope your school will join us in helping young people create a better world. Learn more on our website or by emailing highschools@makingcaringcommon.org.
Staff pick: Peace First Challenge
We're thrilled to welcome Glenn Manning to the Making Caring Common team! Glenn's background spans teaching, SEL program administration, and curriculum development, and he will be working closely with schools in the Making Caring Common community on the Caring Good #CommonGood campaign and the relaunch of our Caring Schools Network later this year.
For this month's staff pick, Glenn wants to make sure young people (and the parents and educators in their lives) know about the Peace First Challenge, which will distribute $250 mini-grants to youth-led projects focused on making communities kinder and more inclusive. The deadline to enter is January 31. Learn more about the Challenge and Peace First's resources on their website.
